Meet Owners John and Lexi Hilliker
Hilliker Electric was founded in 2017 by John Hilliker, a dedicated and passionate electrician with a drive to bring reliable, high-quality electrical services to our community. From day one, Lexi Hilliker has been right by his side, helping build the business with strong values, exceptional service, and a customer-first approach.
Based in Franklin Grove, IL, Hilliker Electric has grown into a trusted leader in electrical contracting, specializing in Generac generator installation and maintenance, residential and commercial electrical work, trenching, LED lighting upgrades, and more. As we continue to expand—including our Gas & Heat division—we remain committed to delivering dependable craftsmanship and honest communication on every job.
We are proud to be a family-owned and operated business. When we’re not working to power our community, we’re spending time with our son, JJ Hilliker, who inspires us daily to keep building a strong future for our company and the customers we serve.

John - Owner/ Journeyman Electrician
John started Hilliker Electric in 2017 and has grown it from a one man shop to what it is now! He is a licensed electrician, lead certified Generac and Kohler Generator Technician. He oversees all operations and is the driving force behind our business

Lexi- Owner/ Office Manager
Lexi is John’s wife and has been apart of every step of growing Hilliker Electric over the years with John! She is the friendly voice you will speak with when you call into the office and handles the day to day management of the crew.

Todd- Generator Technician
Todd started working for Hilliker Electric in 2024 , but has been a supporter from the beginning! Todd is John’s dad and joined the team as a Generac and Kohler certified technician! You will see him helping John or doing generator maintenance.

Mike- Residential Electrician
Mike joined Hilliker Electric in 2022 as an apprentice and has worked himself up to being our main residential electrician! He is the friendly face that will come take care of all your residential needs.

Levi- Apprentice
Levi is the latest to join the team as an apprentice in 2024, but is quickly learning the trade! He is a Generac certified technician and you will find him helping out John, Mike, or Todd on a job.
